Placeholder for a Power of Sorts i and ii

Cast porcelain and silicon antlers on oak mounts.

Placeholder for a Power of Sorts i and ii sit alongside Series of Provocations i, ii and iii as a visual demonstration of power dynamics. Whilst the porcelain antlers hold more power in their material value, they are more fragile than the silicone antlers which hang freely from the gallery wall. These works were created as a sculptural variation of the project Deer/Dear. Read In Search of Deer/Dear (19778-2020), a written variation of the project.

Exhibited alongside Series of Provocations i, ii and iii at the New Contemporaries 2022, Royal Scottish Academy, Edinburgh.
